What is Coffee Beans?

No doubt, Coffee is the most popular drinks in the world. Coffee is a brewed drink made from roasted coffee beans. It's the seeds of berries from certain Coffea species. It's tropical plant can be found close to equatorial regions in Ethiopia, Sudan, Madagascar, Comoros, Southeast Asia,Brazil, Africa etc...

 

There are 2 main types of coffee beans. Arabica and Robusta.

 

Basically Coffee Beans are Dried coffee seeds. You roast to vary degrees depending on desired flavor and Voila! our coffee beans are ready to be coffee.

 

From 15th century (From Arabia, Turkey, Persia) to now (all over world). Green, unroasted coffee became the most traded agricultural commodities in the world.

 

What are the different ways of making Black coffee?

You have 3 parameters to make a coffee and depends their ratio, you coffee can be acidic, smooth, cold, strong, aromatic. You need to use Temperature, Pressure, Time and of course a clean water.

 

Espresso machine : You put hot pressurized water directly to grinded coffee beans. It's really fast but you need an expensive machine  for home. 

 

Moka Pot : It's also a faster solution but you need finer than a drip coffee grind.

 

French Press: Basically you put how water on your grinded coffee and filter it what you put to your cup. No pressure, 90C water suggested. Very simple and easy solution. Metallic Filter cannot filter all particules.

 

Filter Paper / V60 / Drip / Pourover : They are very similar methods that use a paper filter which really stops particules and gives you very soft and smooth taste.

 

Tricks to make coffee taste better

 

Never use boiling water. Don't forget max: 90Celcius

 

Start with Cold water then heat it.

 

Use Cleaned, Filtered Water.

 

Use Fresh Coffee beans, If possible use your own grinder to keep beans fresh. grind as you needed.
